Emily received the 2014 Excellence in Public Health Award from the U.S. Public Health Service Physician Professional Advisory Committee for creating the ENRICH Natural Learning Center (community garden) in Maywood, IL. Orientation for new students Saturday, August 23rd from 9 am to 2 pm at the Stritch School of Medicine. 
 

Any LUC MPH student currently doing research should submit an abstract for this year’s St. Albert’s Day in October (exact date forthcoming).  St. Albert’s Day is a research symposium showcasing current research efforts within the university and great opportunity to show off your hard work.  Stay tuned from more information.

The 2014 Global Summit on the Physical Activity of Children recently gave "physical activity grades" to the United States and 14 other countries across five continents.

The results of this global comparison were published in a Journal of Physical Activity and can be found here.
